Mission Statement

In April of 2026 the Black Butte Ranch Police Department updated its mission statement and created a new motto. We solicited input from both our officers and administrative staff to create a statement which we felt more accurately portrayed our purpose and the kind of department we strive to be.

"The mission of the Black Butte Ranch Police Department is to preserve the safety, security, and tranquility of Black Butte Ranch in a manner that is consistent with the Constitution of the United States, the laws of the State of Oregon, and rules and regulations of Black Butte Ranch. We will accomplish our mission by working with the owners, guests, and employees of the Ranch with respect, integrity, and professionalism".
