Evacuation and the Hi-Lo Siren
All Black Butte Ranch Police vehicles have been equipped with a Hi-Lo siren tone (think of British police car). This sound has been adopted across the region as an evacuation warning tone during Level 3 "Go Now" emergencies. In the event of an evacuation, Members of the Black Butte Ranch Police Department, along with other assisting agencies, may also be going door-to-door attempting to provide in-person notification about the evacuation.
If you should hear this sound, please act quickly and check the information resources below for emergency messaging to see if you need to evacuate.
